Which of the Following Writing Topics Is Narrow Enough For a Short Essay?

Which of the Following Writing Topics Is Narrow Enough For a Short Essay?Which of the following writing topics is narrow enough for a short essay? This is one of the toughest questions to answer for a writer. Many of the essays for college that you will read are three pages or less and some of them are much shorter. The problem is that this is the area that has probably been taught the least amount of writing instruction in school. This makes the problem even worse because many teachers who have taught writing since elementary school might as well be writing about their basic topic. Why is this the case?I think that many of the writing topics that are being taught in college are basically just one paragraph long and sometimes even longer. When they are teaching you how to write a short essay, they are not really teaching you to express what it is like to be a real human being. When they teach you about the life of the person who was President for six years, they are probably not talki ng about the life of a real human being. Some of the other writing topics that are often taught are not even the life of a real person. When I began college, most of the writing courses that I took were about natural history, especially when they were in an introductory course. The reason for this is that when we first get started in school, we are taught to focus on writing as a means of communication with one another. To do this, the teacher decides that the writing course that they are going to assign us will have three or four paragraphs and they are not going to tell us to express a single thought. So the rest of the time, it is about just saying what you think instead of writing it.The reason why this is so bad for a short essay is that the most important part of a short essay is the first paragraph. Even though the rest of the essay can get much longer, at least we know how to express ourselves clearly and concisely. In short, I think that many of the writing topics that are tau ght in college today are teaching the students more about what not to do than what to do. They are teaching students how to sit down and write a few sentences that they can then pretend to communicate to others. If this is the best that they can do, I don't know what to expect.
